Win prizes for simply surfing the Internet.

New Concept Factory, an incubator based in San Mateo, California, launches Win Free Candy. Win Free Candy liberates the masses of the mundane and halts surfing the Internet without reward.

“Win Free Candy is a wonderful addition to the New Concept Factory portfolio, offering members the opportunity to participate and win prizes,” said Chris Yeh, Partner at New Concept Factory. This website sends the candy-craver to random pages of the Internet and randomly awards points.

Once logged into this free website, a frame at the top of the website tracks usage and invites the reader to click the next page. Points are given randomly and tallied to determine the top winners. Top winners get gift cards and cash rewards just for exploring websites. There is even a referral program to bank the points of friends and family.

It is like stealing candy from a baby or rather an Internet incubator.

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008 by Michele

If you’re a parent, most likely you are aware that many children don’t get enough exercise on a daily basis.  Maybe you even think your own children spend a little too much time in front of a gaming system.  However, with busy lives it is hard to find ways to encourage more active play.

For some simple ways to increase your child’s activity level, visit our sister site, Your Parenting Info.  There is a great article with some easy to accomplish exercise ideas.

A Very Useful Kitchen Ingredient

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008 by Michele

I love the smell of garlic bread baking in the oven when I enter the kitchen, as I am sure many people do.  Garlic is a great addition to so many recipes: salad dressings,  stuffings, and gravies, to name a few.

But did you know that garlic also is useful as a treatment for what ails for you?  This kitchen pantry item has been known to help with different issues, including colds and fungal problems.

Visit our sister site, Health Eagle, to learn how to use garlic as a medicine cabinet item.

October = Soup Weather

Monday, October 20th, 2008 by Michele

The last two mornings I have awoken to the sight of a heavy frost on my lawn.  With the sun rising later and the very chilly temperatures, that frost lasts until mid-morning, a good reminder that winter is on its way.  So, with days of sandals and shorts becoming a memory, it is time to make soups to fill the house with warm aromas and our bellies with some extra heat.

A new recipe that I created was an instant family favorite, Turkey Meatball Soup.  Not only is it delicious and healthy, but it is easy to make also!

Dining in Maui

Friday, October 17th, 2008 by Michele

Having vacationed on both the west side and east side of Maui, there was a good level of disparity between the food in those two locations.  On the west side, where restaurants were prevalent, the food was mediocre.  However, on the east side where the were limited restaurant choices (only three), the food was excellent.

To learn which restaurants were loved and which were disliked, visit our sister site, Tasty Thoughts.
