Give Your Child Memories

Thursday, November 13th, 2008 by Michele

As a parent, you do so many things to create memories for your child.  Each time you take her to a sporting event, make dinner with him, read a book together, or surprise her with a present, you create memories.  So many things that you do today will be memories in the future.

However, depending on your child’s age, he or she may not be able to remember things that you do.  That is when you can help by taking photos.  On our sister site, Your Parenting Info, there is a great article about easy ways to do this.

As parents, there are many choices that need to be made in the best interests of your children.  Some of these things you don’t think about, you just do them:  using seatbelts and carseats, having your child vaccinated, brushing teeth daily.

However, sometimes as parents, decisions are made that affect your children, without realizing the consequences.  A recent study showed that kids are likely to follow their parents’ actions even at very young ages.  Visit our sister site, Health Eagle, to learn a simple change you can make to keep your child even healthier.

Less Mess for Breakfast

Monday, November 10th, 2008 by Michele

On a lazy weekend morning, it can be quite nice to have a big, homecooked breakfast.  For many of us that includes eggs, homefries, toast, and some sort of breakfast meat.  At my house, if there are children around for the meal, they request bacon.  While I am not as addicted to bacon as they are, I definitely am not a fan of the lingering smell and mess from preparing it.

Much to my delight, I have found a new way to cook bacon, that allows my children to get their bacon fix and allows me to have a cleaner, better smelling kitchen.  Visit our sister site, Tasty Thoughts, to discover this cooking hint.

Why Buy It Bottled?

Friday, November 7th, 2008 by Michele

When you cook at home, do you usually use spreads and dips that are store-bought?  While it is very easy to purchase these items, making them does not involve much effort either.

An excellent example of this is Slightly Spicy Spread.  It is a flavorful condiment that can be used on sandwiches, in fish tacos, or as a dip for vegetables.  Plus, it takes two minutes to make.  Check out this recipe on our sister site, Tasty Thoughts.
