Many innovative changes have been made nowadays with the uniform of the chefs. In the past, chef use to wear only hats and gloves. But now the job of a chef has highly become professional. The growth of tourism and industrialism has made the job of a chef highly commercialized and growth oriented. Conventionally, the uniform includes only white jacket and hat.
But now many new items such as chef pants, aprons and hats. Chef pants have become an integral part of chef uniform these days. These days the jackets of chef consists of a double fabric cloth which is very much useful in saving chefs from the extreme heat of the flame.
Chef hats are most unique point of a chef uniform. Chef hats have been there in existence from the point of origination till now. Chef hats have become a status symbol these days. Different hotels as well as restaurants do use different types and designs of hats to represent their status and originality. There is no hard and fast rule for the color and design of the hats to be used by the hats.
A chef can select his hat among different hats choosing from many colors, design and fabric as per their likes and dislikes. A hat is very important to maintain cleaning ness in the food. It is believed that the chef do wear hats to avoid the falling of their hairs in the serving dishes prepared by them.
